The stamp set I used is from Heffy Doodle – You Go, Gull – and I first stamped the tree stump in Stampin Up ‘Terracotta Tile‘ ink – then used a water-brush to pull the colour out a little.
I then stamped the birds in Gina K amalgam ink and coloured the grey areas with Copic cool greys, and used the same Stampin Up ink and a little water to colour the beak, legs, and wing detail.
The base card is three and a half inches by eight and a half inches, and the black layer and white window layer are cut using Heffy Doodle ‘安卓ssr小工具下载‘ die set. I love the scallops on the windows. And I have three scalloped squares to use on another card now…….
The sentiment is from the same stamp set, heat embossed in white – though I did have to go over the letters with a white gel pen as it didn’t quite emboss fully.
The hearts are cut from a piece of card I coloured with the same ‘Terracotta Tile‘ ink.

Hello once again. A new challenge has just begun at The Alphabet Challenge. We have reached the letter ‘I’ – and we want to see your ‘Island Fun’ – anything tropical.
Here is my card:
I used the ‘Summer Corners’ stamp set from Clearly Besotted, stamped with Gina K amalgam ink, then coloured with Copics.
I know – I don’t do this very often, and instead of masking and failing – which would ruin the hard colouring work I had already done – I cut the sentiment in half to place as you see………..I must have been very brave that day!
I hope you can come and join us with your Island and tropical makes – I look forward to seeing you in our gallery. xx
I shall be entering the following challenges:

Color Crazy Challenge – week 29 – anything goes with colouring
Very simple – but I think very effective. This is a stamp from Picture This/Creative Endeavours and once again ‘found’ whilst putting items into the Color My Life app. It’s called ‘ssr小工具网址‘ – which also brings to mind an old UK sit com.
This stamp set also brought back memories of the early 1980’s – hubby and I were often off on his motorbike – sometimes camping at rallys with lots of other bikers, and sometimes off on our own just travelling the roads.
I must say, when I showed him the card he wasn’t very pleased – we were the rockers – completely opposite to the scooter gang! You know the ones I mean – we had long hair, scruffy leather jackets with denim cut-outs on them – head-bangers we were called because of the way we ‘danced‘.
Anyhoo – I love this image – bringing back memories of biking and camping with such joie de vivre……
I hope you can come and join us in this challenge, I’d love to see you in our gallery. xx

Butterflies and Flowers
Hello there. I have a project to share with you today that has taken me completely outside of my comfort zone. I have no idea what I’m doing, I have no idea what I’ve done – but I enjoyed playing.
I took inspiration from several challenges, gathered some stuff together, and set to gluing and sticking and layering and……well – here it is:
I printed out some digital papers and tags Vectoria Designs, and stuck down to some card to give a little bit of body to them.
On the base card I placed some patterned paper – no idea where from – and started to add the elements. I wanted the butterfly sticker and sentiment to be used on one side, and lots of flowers on the other.
I added some glitter – then decided it looked awful – so I covered the glitter with pieces of washi tape……..!
The flower tags were cut and arranged as you see, and I even added another butterfly.
I found some glass domes and added some of them and laid one over a flower image to give some more dimension to the colour.
Some of the areas looked a little bare, so I took a swirly heart stamp and added some detail with that – you can see part of it next to the black butterfly sticker……
I still have no idea what I’ve done, or what I’m going to do with it – but I enjoyed the process – very freeing……..no focus or plan to what I did, no squaring things off – just sticking…….
Hello there. I have a couple of cards to share which used just one stamp set between them, and then I die cut a couple of rectangles from the image:
The circular floral image is quite large, and I was going to use the whole image on one card, but decided to cut it up to make two CAS cards.
Here is the original stamp set picture, just so you can see what I started with:
I stamped the circular image in Gina K amalgam ink, then coloured with Copics, sticking to the colour scheme from one of the challenges.
Once coloured I then used a small stitched rectangle die from Susan Wilson to cut two pieces out, and attached them in different places in two different sized card bases.
The ‘Hello‘ die is from Simon Says Stamp and part of a recent kit of theirs, die cut in black 4 times and layered together.
The birthday sentiment is from another Simon Says Stamp set called ‘Bee Happy‘ – I was after a small birthday sentiment and this fitted perfectly.
I’m off to get the house ready for having visitors this evening – the first time since March. We are lucky to have a downstairs cloak room – so I have sanitised it, and shut the door so hubby and I won’t use that for the rest of the day. I’ve even ordered a take-away restaurant meal…….not quite ready for going out to a restaurant yet……Can you also imagine I’ve also got out separate cutlery, plates and glasses for them that haven’t seen the light of day since Christmas? Yep – that’s my OCD kicking in!
Anyhoo, I shall be entering the following challenges:
Watercooler Challenges – occasions
Color Throwdown – yellow, orange, green
Krafty Chicks – occasions
Here is a place to start – flowers/floral
AAA Cards – CAS max white space and option of flowers
Butterflies
Hi there. I have a couple of cards to share today using the same Simon Say Stamp ‘Beautiful Butterflies‘ stamp and die set.
The card on the left is my version of the slim line card. I stamped the butterfly in Distress Oxide ‘Peacock Feathers’ for a solid impression. I was going to colour the white parts in – but decided it looked good as it was.
The layers are using Mama Elephant slim line dies with the white water-colour piece splattered with the same blue Distress Oxide and I think Fossilized Amber – wanting a teal and yellow splattering going on – and a Lawn fawn grey card as a contrast layer.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set, which I chose to give someone some encouragement with a recent promotion.
The second card:
I stamped the images with Lawn Fawn inks – Carrot and Fake Tan – which give fabulous coverage, by the way – then cut them out with the matching die set.
The circle is a piece of a stenciled background I made a week or so ago with Lawn Fawn ‘Starry Sky‘ stencil and white paste, die cut with a stitched circle die.
The sentiment is from a magazine freebie, and stamped onto a spare piece of water-colour card which I splattered the same two Lawn Fawn inks onto, cut into a strip, then that strip cut with the same circle die so it was the correct length, and had some stitching to it.

Hello once again. I hope you are keeping safe. I have a CAS card to share today:
I took a square base card and stamped some images from a newly purchased Clearly Besotted stamp set ‘ Drink and Be Merry’ in Gina K Amalgam ink, then very simply coloured with Copics.
The berries are one of the gold’s from my Gansai Tambi set – and those little berries are exactly that – little!
The sentiment is from the same stamp set – and there are loads of sentiments with this actually quite small set – you certainly get a lot for your money.
I have a confession to make – this is my second attempt! The first did go in the bin – I couldn’t save it……………I took ages creating a mask for the glasses on the original card, then used a circle stencil and Distress Oxide Speckled Egg as a background – it looked absolutely horrendous!
Really – I mean horrendous! It was only because the Speckled Egg is a greyish-blue, and covered some of the black lines up – my fussy-cutting isn’t the best in the world – so I drew over them in black pen – went squiggly without even touching a drop of alcohol……..I still thought I could save it – coloured the images, stamped the sentiment……nope! Binned.
The version you see here is much better and I feel a whole load happier. I keep trying new things – but sometimes going back to what you know is better. I’m not having a very patient day………………..warn hubby now!
I shall be entering the following challenges:

Hi there. A new challenge is beginning at The Alphabet Challenge. We have reached the letter ‘H‘ – and we want to see Hungry – feature your favourite food. It doesn’t have to be the healthy option either – a good thing as my card features anything but healthy food:
This is a Clearly Besotted I ‘found’ again when adding stash to the Color My Life app. I am more of a savoury than a sweet kinda gal, and I couldn’t decide which is my favourite – so I used them all – virtually!
I used some Kraft card-stock, and just stamped away to create my own background of savoury deliciousness……there are burgers, fries – chips to the UK people – chicken, pizza – all sorts of goodies here in this Clearly Besotted stamp set.
For the gaps I used a combination of stamps from several stamp sets – the hearts, the ‘XO’ – trying to be careful not to stamp ‘OX’ very often! 🙂
I did toy with the idea of colouring the images – but as you can see I left them as they are – and I think more effective because of that.
The sentiment is from the same Clearly Besotted stamp set.
I hope you can come and join us – I’d love to see what you are ‘Hungry’ for and what your favourite food is – or a collection of your favourite foods. xx

Seas The Day
Hello there. A new challenge is beginning at Cardz 4 Galz, and this time the theme is ‘酸酸乳分享社区. I decided to go down the digital image route as I don’t have sea shell stamps, and here is my card:
I used a digital image from Power Poppy called ‘Gifts From The Sea‘, printed onto Make It Colour Blending Card, and coloured with Copics.
As you can see, I went quite neutral with the colouring, and used a combination of colours I have used in previous Kit and Clowder colouring classes – and also some techniques I learnt from those classes along the way.
For this image, there was also an option for ‘no line’ printing – but I do like black lines around my objects – and it’s a little more forgiving with my colouring skills, too!
I hope you can come and join us, I’d love to see your interpretation of our ‘Sea Shell’ theme. xx
Hi there, After a few days making cards for my DT posts for the next few weeks, I decided to make a card to enter some challenges. A few caught my eye. Here is my card:
I really am a fan or white on white cards, especially for Christmas. For this card, I hunted out a lot of my oldie but goodie Sue Wilson dies – some dating back to 2014 – I am never, ever getting rid of these dies – my ‘go-to’ when it comes to die cutting and Christmas in particular.
I have found with white on white cards, that leaving some of the elements to – well – hang around creates some shadow and dimension. For instance – I don’t glue every single branch and leaf down – I just glue the stem, or a leaf or two, and let the rest wriggle around there. This creates movement when the card is handled by the recipient, too.
The Gemini Junior went through a work-out for this card – all that die cutting! I have also bought some new plates so it cuts better – not warped currently – and I have even followed Jennifer McGuire when she taped some of the plates together to try and prevent warping……you can check the video out HERE.
Now, she does state several times that she is defying the rules – but hey – anything which gives me a chance of reducing the warping on my plates – then I’ll try it.
You can see each element I have die cut and how they are arranged, adding a little pearl to the middle of the poinsettia – even the pearl is a white one!
All this die-cutting takes me back to when I first started crafting – rather card making. Lots of die-cutting, very little stamping…..purely because I couldn’t stamp correctly, the images where never clear and solid.
So – this card brought back happy memories of years gone by, and made me realise how my card making has changed – I feel I am so much more versatile now – I will try a lot more techniques – some you win, some you lose – but hey – as long as we are having fun, right?
Anyhoo, I digress – I seem to be in a chatty mood – somebody better warn my hubby……………….. 🙂
